Studies & Results

Workspaces of interactive results from TRANSIENCE's modelling studies.

  • Circularity in EU passenger cars

Circular economy measures in passenger cars and their effect on EU steel trade and import dependence.

  • Circularity in EU plastic packaging

Circular economy measures in PET packaging and their effects on EU polymer demand, trade flows, and import dependence.

  • Circularity in the German chemical industry

Chemical recycling of plastic waste and its effects on fossil feedstock dependence, industrial resilience, and competitiveness in Germany.

  • Industrial decarbonisation in the Basque Country

Modelled decarbonisation pathways for the glass, pulp and paper, and cement industries in the Basque Country, and their shared reliance on electricity and biomass.

  • Decarbonising the Polish cement sector

Modelled decarbonisation pathways for the cement sector in the EU27 and Poland, focusing on the impacts of carbon transport and storage infrastructure.

  • Decarbonising the Port of Rotterdam

A deep decarbonisation pathway for the Rotterdam petrochemical cluster and its impacts on climate, human toxicity, and critical material demand across the global supply chain.

TRANSIENCE

The TRANSIENCE project will create an open, integrated, modular framework to simulate pathways toward achieving the transition of European industries to climate neutrality while fully integrating material efficiency and circular economy measures in energy and climate models.
